When the Tinnell memorial sports park committee contacted me I was Honored. This project not only brings Big Dirt BMX to the Beautiful city of Lake Havasu. It honors the memory of Army Spec. Patrick Tinnell who gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country. Pat grew up in Lake Havasu City. He was a up and coming BMX freestyle rider and I hear he was one of the best. So I am teaming up with the Tinnell Memorial Sports Park and bringing the second stop of the Ricardo Laguna Pro dirt Challenge to Lake Havasu city. All proceeds will go to the construction of the Tinnell Memorial Sports park. So join me for this worthy fundraising event and help us ”Build the Park”

Tinnell Memorial Sports Park is a skateboard and bmx park being built in beautiful Lake Havasu City, Arizona. It will be Arizona’s largest skate/bmx park at around 40,000 sq ft. It will be located across from the Aquatic Center.

The park is being built in memory of Patrick Tinnell, a local bmx enthusiast who gave his life for his country in Iraq in April 2006. Additionally, the park will also honor Colin Sasseen, a 14 year old Lake Havasu native who lost his life doing what he loved…skateboarding.

We have contracted with California Skate Parks and award winning park and x-games designer, Brian Harper, who will be  engineered a stunning park for us.

We need about $1,000,000.00 to make this dream happen and so far we are more than half way there.  So take a look at the site, see what’s new, get involved, donate — be a part of something worthwhile for our community.
